I just listened to a sports radio station on the car radio.. It may have been ESPN, don't know.. But the announcer said that the NFL has had a lot of time to figure "THIS" out. So they will have a season. Then he said "many college teams will NOT and "likely disband the program" (football). He also said the NBA and NHL, he thinks will have some type of finish to their season.. But if he had to bet, "there will be no MLB in 2020" "It's about the money"
I could care less about any lower tier college football team......what a waste of a game it was for teams like Alabama to be playing teams like South West Missouri State.
Time to get rid of the scrub teams......even some of the division 1A scrubs.

I miss baseball. Can’t they just do a playoff tournament? I’m sure it would garner a lot of attention, viewers, and sponsors. C’mon, they can get this figured out. Disappointing if they can’t. I can somewhat understand the star players reluctance but I’m sure they can scrub up enough players to take the risk, sign contracts, and participate.
There's 130 schools in the Division IA football ........it wouldn't bother me if 30 of those schools stopped football, of even 50.........80 football teams is still a lot, of course that's 20 or more less games a week
Don't really care if MLB returns or not as it is a battle of idiots trying to figure that mess out. I do feel sorry for the minor league towns and, if football cuts back, for those smaller cities, associated businesses and athletes. When it comes down to it, the story really is CFB and the NFL. Hockey and the NBA are going to install plans that may finish this season, but each will disrupt next season. Each should shut it down.
I think it would be cool to have some sort of March Madness playoff atmosphere. Sure it wouldn’t be a “true” championship but a tournament champion nevertheless. Who knows, maybe something good can come out of this whereas it could change the format of how they approach playoffs in the future.
NBA- coming back July 31. ALL games in Orlando Game 7 of NBA finals on Oct 12. Next season will start Dec 1 (although could be pushed back)
MLS- doing some kind of world cup style tournament in Orlando in July
NHL- They are having some kind of 24 team playoffs. Will be announced shortly as they are trying to figure out dates and locations. Look for Vegas to be 1 of those places.
MLB- this is the sport that scares me. Owners and players cannot agree on anything. Usually baseball is the only sport going on at a certain time but with NBA/NHL season going on, who knows. Players and owners are getting greedy. Not sure if they play
NFL- I think they play. They have time to figure it out. They could even delay the start of the season for a few weeks, let NBA and NHL finish a chunk of their season, and then finish the season in late Feb if need be.
College football- really depends if students are allowed back on campus. Some schools DONT want any fans. Some schools have no problem packing 100k in their stadium. I think they will play but maybe at worse, you ONLY play your conference games? I cant see bowl games being pushed back
